Pitch

In our pitch it explains our early ideas and what we plan to do for our music video, as well as some of the basic concepts of the mood/atmosphere that we will attempt to create.

Key points:

• Two characters wearing V for Vendetta masks act as two people trying to tempt the main character into getting drunk, using drugs etc.
• One represents the street, the lower classes (Wears jeans and a hoodie over the mask), the other represents the upper classes (wearing a suit and a top hat).
•  All about having a good time, but not necessarily in the right way, although it will take place in nightclubs and pubs etc. We do want to use some form of culture in it in order to attract upper classes.
• Start scene takes place in a pub, preferably with a jukebox.
• Main character being tempted is going to be used as unsure of what particular class he is in, so he does not take preferences to either the upper or lower class tempter.
• Day and night life, good during the day and bad during the night.

Feedback:

• What are you going to do to attract older audiences?

Film in older locations e.g. top of the hill near the Lincoln Cathedral, well lit areas, places that look smart and well presented.

• Are you going to do a performance based video? (including the band within the video)

No, we are aiming to try and create a story for our video instead of just filming us playing musical instruments, because none of us do use musical instruments in the first place.

• Will everybody be wearing the masks?

No, just the two tempters in order to not create confusion of who is who.

• Too many ideas?

We are aiming to get as many ideas as we can, then use a trial and error scheme to rule out the ones we are not going to include in our video.

Changes made as a result:

Both masked characters are his original friends who change throughout the video.

Two different for each character, e.g. without the mask, smart casual, with mask, suit and hoodie with jeans.

Setting is going to take place in the Aston Arms pub, early morning for a quiet intro?

Alleyways - one by a butchers and a bridge?

Bottles of alcohol - different for both classes e.g. Jack Daniels for upper class, vodka for lower.

Fags - lower class cigarettes, upper class cigars?

A music system of some kind, preferably older jukebox, but we can use an iPod system.
